Congratulations to the Rhino Maniacs!!!!

I have heard that all the team managed to make it to Kibo 4700m, congratulations to them all!
A big well done to Meg, Sarah, Dave and Nick as they made it to Gilmans Point on the summit!
Michelle, Julie and Mark attempted the summit climb but had to turn back due to the altitude.
Andrea and Kim descended to the next camp instead of attempting the summit as the altitude effects were bad!
They are all at Horombo and will descend back to the hotel tomorrow!
Well done to the Rhino Maniacs! x

Congratulations! You have all done fantastically well, I remember how hard it was. It was gutting not being with you but you still made me feel part of it all with the contact due to the blog.

Hi Sue/Mum & Dad and the rest of the family

Fistly thanks for all the messages of support whilst I and the rest of the team attempted to climb Kili which I have just managed to read on the rhino Blog now that we are at KIA Lodge ready for flights back home tomorrow. Must admit I had a lump in my throat reading them, it means so much to know that all of you were behind me all of the way. I would be lying to say it was easy, but to be able to attempt the summit with a great gang of people along with various reasons to achieve the summit made it a little easier. I was lucky that I did not suffer too much with altitude sickness other than complete exhaustion to the extent that on climbing the final stage to the summit was like running for 7 hours with lead weights on your feet. Tell you all about it when I get home.
